Software Updates #04: Multiple Addresses

So, in a rare case of pleasant whiplash, the turnaround for this new Mail feature was 1 week—in case you’re in the mood for some happy news. 🤩🎉👏

You can now have multiple addresses under 1 account

TokyoMate Mail: You can now have multiple addresses under 1 account

Let’s begin with the backstory.

Some users wanted a custom name to receive certain mail under. For example, let’s say a user wanted their husband/wife/partner to be able to receive mail using the user’s current account—but under their own name.

This was a good point that we’d previously not considered. We presented this to Dev—and in under a week (and with barely a stir of his wizard cloak), our CTO coolly handed off this new Mail feature. ✨

Basically, this means…

  1. Users can now set up a custom name for a family member.

  2. Users can now receive mail under a custom business name (apart from the initial name they used to sign up with us).

The really great part: Custom names are free—just contact support, and we’ll set you up!

Note: If you’re adding an additional receiver of mail to your account, an additional user is 1,500 yen per month.
