JAL ABC's Airport Luggage Delivery Service

With JAL ABC's Airport Baggage Delivery Service, you can send your luggage directly from the airport to a hotel or other destination in Japan.

They have an English-language website, and the staff at the airport counters and on their hotline service all speak English. 

JAL ABC's special features

• ⌚ Specify a time—The luggage shipping service allows travelers to select delivery and pick-up times using two to three-hour time frames. (Not available with Yamato Transport's airport luggage delivery service.)

• 🗾 Delivery to any address in Japan—Travelers can send their luggage to any location in Japan (hotels, private domiciles, etc.).

• 🧳 Large and heavy luggage allowed—One piece of luggage can have a max total size of 240 cm (height, width, and depth) and weigh 50 kg or less. Note: At Kansai International Airport, the luggage size limits are 160 cm and 30 kg.

JAL ABC's baggage delivery price

JAL ABC has a price chart on its website that lists the average cost of luggage forwarding from the airport to your hotel.

If you have a suitcase within 160 cm (height + width + depth), expect to pay about $16 (¥2410). 

Note: Luggage deliveries from your hotel to the airport will cost you a couple of dollars more than airport-to-hotel deliveries.

JAL ABC's luggage size limit for their delivery services

One piece of luggage can have a maximum total size of 240 cm and a weight of 50 kg or less. 

For those traveling to the Kansai region, the size and weight limits for one piece of luggage are 160 cm and 30 kg or less.

How to use JAL ABC's luggage delivery from an airport to your hotel

Step 1. Use an airline floor map to locate the nearest JAL ABC counter. 

After picking up your suitcases from baggage claim, locate the nearest JAL ABC counter.

• Terminal 1, North Wing, 4th Floor(Departures)

Step 2. Fill out the luggage delivery form. 

Once at a JAL ABC counter, fill out the luggage delivery form provided. The information to fill out includes the following: 

• Your name

• Destination zip code (if you need help determining what your destination zip code is, tell the staff where you're headed, and they will look it up for you.)

• Delivery address (if you're staying at a hotel and need clarification on the address, the desk staff can look up that info.)

• Telephone number of delivery location 

• Name of the person picking up the luggage

• The timeframe you would like the luggage delivered by

Pay at the counter using a credit card or cash.

Step 3. Travel hands-free and then pick up your luggage at the hotel. 

The luggage will be waiting for you at the hotel's front desk where you will be staying. 

How to use JAL ABC's luggage delivery from a hotel to your airport

If you're bringing home some sembei or other favorite Japanese souvenirs, your luggage might be even heavier than when you arrived. Thankfully, JAL ABC can help you on the way home, too. 

Step 1. Prepare the requested information. 

You'll need to provide the following information to use JAL ABC's luggage delivery service from your hotel to the airport.

• Departure date

• Airline name and flight number

• Airport and terminal name

• Name of the individual picking up the luggage

• Number of luggage items being sent

• Baggage type (e.g., suitcases, golf bags, etc.)

• Size of each item (the sum of its height, width, and depth) and weight

• Zip code and address of the hotel (where the pick-up will take place)

Step 2. Book the luggage delivery service. 

There are 2 ways to book JAL ABC's luggage delivery service from a hotel. You can use their online reservation system or call the following numbers and request their airport luggage delivery service in English.

Note: Their online reservation system is partially in English; however, some portions haven't been translated so I suggest using Chrome's browser translating feature to catch any untranslated portions. 

Step 3. Pick up your luggage at the airport.
