Minami-ku is one of the five wards of Kumamoto City in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. It is located in the southern part of the city and is bordered by Nishi-ku, Chūō-ku, and Higashi-ku, as well as the cities of Uki and Uto, and the towns of Kashima, Mifune, and Kōsa.
