Ōgaki (大垣市, Ōgaki-shi) is a city located in Gifu Prefecture, Japan. As of December 2018, the city has a population of approximately 161,539 and covers an area of 206.57 square kilometers. Ōgaki is historically significant as it served as a castle town during the Edo period for the Ōgaki Domain under the Tokugawa shogunate. It is known for its scenic location in the Nōbi Plain, with the Ibi River flowing through it. The city hosts the Bashō Festival every November, celebrating the haiku poet Matsuo Bashō.
